Photo Compositing
Composting can be used when an idea or concept can not be realistically photographed due to physics, budget, mythical creatures that may or may not exist or if something was forgotten in the initial shoot and needs to be added in post.

The composite started from an idea of wanting to visualize the feeling of being down on my luck. I wanted to make a humorous visual representation of misfortune. Juxtaposing the beauty and peacefulness of the landscape and the act of fishing with the most unlucky catch you could imagine, a mythical creature that of course comes up when I am trying to decompress.

Once I had found all the pieces that I wanted to use through Adobe Stock I planned out my self portrait. I set my tripod up and framed myself to match the perspective in the composite while keeping the lighting in mind I used the window light as the back light and used a reflector as a fill light so I had enough information to adjust the exposure.
